I liked the job until a bad RTA stopped me doing it. Been a external TM since, which kept me in the loop. When I was a driver I thought being paid to drive around the country for a living is great. I know the job has changed, but so have the vehicles, if I had my time again, I would be back in a cab of a lorry.

Big shinny toy for a big kid. Different destination most days. The boss trusts me and treats me like an adult. The job still makes me smile :smiley:

i like still running on trip money as close to the same way i did in the eightys with a similar contempt,and disregard for the prevailing rules then and now.its not getting easier,but its still easy enough to wangle what needs wangled to suit me and my pocket.i hate stopping when i dont want to,or having to take a 9 or 11 just so the cards are right.(my cards are mostly 99% right anyway) plus i can show a clean licence north and south so i must be doing something right.run legal if it suits you,and blow her on if it also suits.hapy days all round. :smiley:
