What do you drive?

Hello kentman, welcome to TruckNet from me here on the sunny Isle of Thanet.

Hello Kentman and welcome to Trucknet
Trevor

V, W or X reg 400 Actros’s, but they’re all tweaked to 93 km/h which makes a difference when you can pass clean and fast.
Get the new Actros next month. Our firm were lucky enough to have one of the prototypes for three months for evaluation. Lovely motors. Will put the Stralis well and truly in it’s place.

Mainly a fleet of rigids from 7.5 Leyland DAF to a 23000 Foden six wheeler and Leland DAF 65 CF also six wheeler curtain siders both on a Y plate, plus two Volvo FM 12 artics (4 over 4 but desperately need splitters!!) both on X.

The DAF six wheeler i’m told was originally meant as a left ■■■■■■ and that the gear linkage runs across the engine, which would explain why you need to dislocate your shoulder to get reverse!

daf 95xf 480 super space cab 4x2 left ■■■■■■.

It should be due for a service or exam next week so I’ll tell them when I take it to the workshop but I’m not holding my breath  .

I’m currently working for a builders merchant doing multidrop (around 8 -10 drops per day) around Greater London so it’s a real drag.

I drove another LF55 for British Bakers earlier this year and that jumped out of 2nd gear too; which begs the question how many other LF55s have the same problem?

Or am I just unlucky?

IF ITS GOT AN ENGINE A STICK AND A WHEEL IN EACH CORNER I`LL MAKE IT GO!!!
