What do you drive?

I drive a metallic blue Merc Atego 918 with all the kit and an airbrushed cab, some of you may have seen in T&D back in May

I’m currently driving a 18 tonne DAF LF55 which is 18 months old and jumps out of 2nd gear :unamused:

A STGO Cat 2 Scania G144 530 T cab… with an Andover Beavertail Semi Low Loader…

Trying in vain to get the boss to order an EXC

Mostly 53 and 03 reg MAN’s, Daf’s, Merc’s and Volvo’s F12… pulling boxes with rolling beds.

My dad has a V reg DAF 95XF Space Cab 430 in the colours of Hargrave International pulling fridges up to Scotland.

I’m driving an 18 tonne Iveco Tector about 1 year old… and mine keeps jumping out of 3rd gear!!

Yeti

1 year old Volvo FH12 Globetrotter XL, auto box, office package and lots of toys.

I drive anything from a little caddy van to 7.5t swap bodied MANs .We also have 18t four wheelers for our trunking and they are all 03 plates with the exception of a couple of R reg 7.5tonners used in emergencies. The last few weeks I’ve been doing a daily trunk run down to Hythe In a MAN TGA 410 4x2 . Nice comfort shift and air con in the hot weather back in August. The yard shunter(which is road legal) is an old Seddon Atkinson Strato with A 325 ■■■■■■■ and a Twin Splitter which I still play tunes on every time I’m unlucky enough to drive it!

a 94 mondeo :smiling_imp:

Not driving at the minute but was driving either an fl6 220 or an iveco whatever(Ididnt like it).

Dearly miss my first ever scania93m 260 with the sleeper, made me feel like one of the big boys!!

Penfold.

Penfold? sorry dont get it.

Name of the truck, Ro-ro. Because he’s small but not as lacking in power as first meets the eye…

I’ve also had an Ermintrude (L-reg Eurotech with a somewhat knackered old ZF16 gearbox in it…every time you tried to change split it went “Ermmmm” before telling you to get stuffed); a Screwfix (Another Iveco. It was truly a nail.); and a Freda (the Foden. Old cow that she was, bless her.) to name but a few…

…sad, aren’t I!!!

ps.Penfold is a P-reg P-cab, btw.

Ahh. Thanks. I thought it might be a new kind of truck from russia (lol). The Eurotechs are ok (if you get a good one which i feel i have). I have got a Seddon atkinson stratto too. I also run a FH12 (53 plate) and a Scannie R cab topline (53 plate). Will be selling my Stratto/Tech for new units soon but dont know what to get. Might get a FH again for John (the strato driver who works for me who is on here as Motorwaymadness), But i dont know what to get myself. I run the company but drive. The good thing is i dont buy the trucks. i am contracted to 5 container companies on a 10 year contract so they buy the trucks for me, they get painted in my colours and i run the fleet (in charge of cost etc etf etc). Also when not doing contract work for these i can do as i please (job wise). But the contractors come first if you get me. Its great. a O/D who owns his own truck but all the others in the fleet are owned by someone else who has to pay the bills on them. Takes the hasstle out of running a fleet. Anyway, Im off bed now. Got to be up at 5 and have to look around a few showrooms for the two replacement vehicles for mine and johns.

02 reg (ireland) fh12. Getting 04 reg XF super space cab in new year.

Immaculate red over white T-reg 144L 530 Scania Topline with lights, stacks and chrome and more lights.

Been in the R-reg FH12 420 Globey this week (old motor) and still goes and looks well.

This coming Monday I’ll be in the spare motor, the T-reg 114L 380 Scania Streamline! Sits at 60 on the flat! Brilliant motor (probably wouldn’t be if it wasn’t for that lol!).

Speedy

Had an X reg 815 box with a tail-lift for the past 6 months and no sign of a change in the near future, or the distant future come to that !!
Having the t/l is good 'cos it means I’m hardly ever on the same run more than a couple of days in a row.
(And I haven’t been in London for nearly 2 weeks. but keep that quiet please  )

Mercedes Artego 815 short wheel base. (handy for the streets of London!)
Electric Blue cab with white curtainsided box and Tailift.
unmarked because the company are going through a colour and identity change, so i am awaiting my new colours. But being owned by Jewsons, i can’t see the colours changing much!

ERF EC11 R reg. Gets me home every night, but plays havoc with the CB. Cured it to a certain extent, by bolting a steel plate to the roof, and using a mag mount

Hello u all, first post so i’ll tell u what i drive. i am lucky enough to have possibly the best wagon on the road,DAF 95 XF
