Having only been driving since March, I’ve yet to come across this issue so any help would be appreciated . . .
On Friday I was stuck for 2.5 hours in a horrendous jam on the M60 in Stockport - if you were there you’ll know what I mean! - When I eventually had chance to pull over for my break, I had gone 3 mins over (4h 33min)
So basically my question is, what do I need to do now if anything??

Write on back of the chart, or on a printout if using digi, the reason for going over. That’s it.
If on analogue tacho write a brief explanation on the back. If digi tacho make a print-off and also write an explanation on the back.
Keep either with you for the required 28 days and if digi be sure to give the print out to the boss when the 28 days is over so that he can keep it to show whoever might come a lookin’
Flee the country as THEY will be looking for you, muhahahahaha.
just write on the back of your printout the following explanation.
stuck in traffic, would have put the magnets on, but it was ■■■■■■■ it down, and i’d just put a clean shirt on. as a result i went 3 minutes over my 4.5 hours driving. Beverly bell has nice ■■■■, her arse is so peachy, i could stroke it all night. if you decide to shaft me, please use a decent lubricant.
For 3 mins you do ■■■■ all, if it’s a 1 off. Chances are, if it’s a digital tacho, you’d not actually gone over, the ■■■■■■’ things have the old pentium arithmatic glitch I think.
Yeah, I was stuck in that ■■■■ trying to get home after a long day, bloody idiots crashing everytime it bloody rains, maybe they should just stand on a bridge and cause some real mayhem.
If it was a digi tacho and you were stopped it would be defaulting to other work and not registering driving.
If it is a digi then once you get to 4hr 15 drive time it starts flashing up then once you go past 4hr 30 it goes mental again.

Only if the stops were at least a minute. I do love the digi in traffic jams though, they can save you loads of time.
