What did he use

firstly I’m not the show & shine type ( not that I have a issue with it ) , but for the last few months I’ve thought why should I care , why should I keep cleaning my truck while all the ones who have it at w/ ends , holidays couldn’t give a ■■■■ , so I’ve kept inside nice and spotless but other than chuck the truck through the truck was now and then I’ve not bothered , the washers won’t do cat walk , toolbox so there manky, so I can’t stand it anymore so I’m going to give it a good clean , now I remember going to a pressure wash place I used at another job , sprayed it on , and washed it off and everything looked as new , any idea what he used or a equivalent I could use ? ta
at present

By “washers” do you mean the people employed to wash the units?

If so why the hell wont they do the tool box and cat walk? It’s part of the vehicle.

What’s the next move “sorry mate its Thursday - we don’t do nearside wheels on days beginning with T”

Why pay money for someone to only do half the job? Are some firms determined to ■■■■ money up the wall?

And in answer to your question would a really strong TFR mix shift it?

Strensham N/B will put an “acid” on the shiny bits, and they yake Snap

Why not pop in on your Saturday off and clean it yourself?

yes employed by company , I’ve no idea why they won’t wash catwalk , tool box , back of cab , I guess they’ve only been instructed to wash a , b , c , or maybe time , maybe it’s the depot I get mine washed at, will have to try elsewhere , I’d rather do what we did when corby chilled had it , wash it myself

ta , I’ll look into it

That’s much my response, TFR at 8:1 ratio, Autosmart do something called G101 which does a similar job, for aluminium an acidic Ali clean (Autosmart Red 7)
Apply these with a hand held pump pressure spray prior to washing and let it dwell before washing off

yes I know what you’re referring to , but the facts were as I’ve said a 1,000 times I washed and cleaned my truck in the week , he/ ex mate wanted me to come in and wash the trucks of the drivers who couldn’t be bothered to clean there’s full stop
my example as before was , if you cut your grass in the week would you then spend sat morning cutting you neighbours   who couldn’t be assed to cut there’s in the week
I’ve no issue washing / cleaning my truck , but after getting mine cleaned / washed in the week why should I spent sat morning cleaning the bone idle sods who couldn’t be assed to do there’s in week :exclamation:

we don’t have snap , they employ there own washers , but if I could get something I could spray on before they wash it , they may rinse it off for me

wilkos have trigger spray bottles at £0.85 a go wilko.com/invt/0338924 and then blag some TFR from the washer wimmin mix it with water and spray it on the truck parts half hour before visiting said washer wimmin this will allow time for the TFR to eat into the grime

^^^ and depending on the strength of said TFR, will knacker anything black & made from plastic

this stuff might work a treat.
looks to me the back of that truck has a thick coating of bullcrap,no doubt overspill from the amount getting spewed out inside the cab 24/7

Pulling yer leg dozy. For what its worth, its good to see a driver sticking up for themselves. You just need to apply that mentality with your current employer.

This
TFR (traffic film remover) also removes polish/wax and over time youre left with a dull washed out look to paintwork. I never use the stuff but prefer to use a standard weak detergent truck/car wash. A coat of Super Resin Polish keeps paintwork slick and repels dirt making it easy to clean, its also good on ali.

I assume the wash you refer to that sprayed it on and washed it off used Nerta Carnet Jumbo or similar.
