Was it robbed or lost?
If its lost, may pay to ring local plod as they DO take in lost dogs, driver may have been trying to be kind, thus taken it to local station.
If its been pinched then I’d not hold my breath unless it’s been chipped, then reported, then turns up in a vets/shelter then you stand a chance.
