Picture the sceen… driving home last night with oh in the car… its dark its raining… we round the corner to hear the final thuds of a car on its roof… Hazards on, jumped out of car, ran to the wreck. Young girl had half crawled out… we make her keep still, phone the emergency services… cover her with my best coat, get clean towls from kit from the car… and try to do all the right stuff, keep her warm, loosen the clothes, reassurre, keep her talking, find out name etc just incase she passes out.
We are doing a fab job… real sympathy until i realise she was under the influance and was on her mobile phone at time of the crash. Lucky for all other road users that:-
a. she did not land on us
b. no pedestrians were walking along the road
c. no motorbikes or cyclists were invloved
lucky for her
a. she was wearing her seat belt
b. the car landed where it did, it could have been so easily on the other side of the wall and she would still be there now
Hats off to the boys in blue and tbh after dealing with this idiot myself I honestly ask myself how they keep their temper with some of the egits drving on roads today.

Shuttle - that is just wrong ! (but it would have been a lot more if OH had not been around )
don’t worry, you’ll get to know me
most members on here who know me, think i’m some kind of perv
I’ve just worked out who Shuttlespanker really is.
Quagmire from the Family Guy.
Chouchette, I know what you are saying about how the emergency services deal with some of these people, I suppose you’d have to detach youself a litte bit just to get the job done then get angry latter.
Ambulance crews and A&E staff who have to deal with the same drunk or stoned wasters time and again must have the patience of a saint.
How do you realise that she is on the phone when driving? along with under the influence? Maybe she has had 1 small drink that wont put her over the limit ! Why has your symphathy stopped because of your own assumptions?
How could she have possibly landed on you?
If she landed on the other side of the wall why would she still be there now , as you already stated she was wearing a seatbelt and was crawling out of car without your heroics
Whirl - she said she was arguing with her boyfriend at the time - she had a stash so big of drugs that a sniffer dog in America was running round circles !
Add to that the bag full of credit cards, half a dozen mobile phones - posh ones too and a wedge of money that I hope one day to see !
