luckily that does seem to be one thing where UK trucks haven’t copied our European friends. I wouldn’t feel comfortable driving with such a restricted view of the road.
I passed a brit (DAF) truck yesterday, he`d got the fancy side curtain pulled way forward, AND the standard drivers door blind pulled down as far as it could go.
I could only just make out the gap in the front section of door glass was clear max by around the bottom two thirds, everything else was obscured by the curtain/blind

Cant see him driving it, so I take he may be on his bunk for a nap and had to move everything of his bunk to make room to lay down, I’ve had to do that thousands of times, is that a crime?

Bet he sure plays a mean pinball though.
Couple of weeks ago,I didn’t have my regular unit for 4 days,so obviously got others to drive.Tables,pelmets,peek-a-boo curtains,window etchings,nameplates,air fresheners,phone/satnav holders and bells (yes,you did read that right 
)were things I had to endure for that 4 days.Along with a steering wheel glove that didn’t fit and light bars and extra lights with the fuses removed so no-one else can use them 
Apart from the air fresheners which I don’t mind if not overpowering,all the rest is just unnecessary tat.If it’s what you like,fair enough-it’s not for me.

How can he see what ? The road in front? Whats the pelmet gonna block out? Blue sky…thats what.
Whats the peekaboo curtains we can’t see gonna block out? Something he couldn’t see out the front screen, and his 10x20 rear view mirror and side view can’t see? Sat nav and tags ? Granted, i’ll give you that. He might not see a pigeon ■■■■ in the road and drive over it. Laptop ? I’d reckon he closes the lid when driving otherwise all the UK coppers, and coppers on the continent where he’s drove from are all asleep, luckily you spotted it?
Ring crime stoppers and give in his registration, they’re anonymous and you might get a reward?

That’s what I thought too.
He was driving with the laptop up. He had driven straight past me. I see where mick is coming from but with all that crap blocking your vision will be no good in towns or roundabouts. Then again I moan because the MAN mirrors obstruct visibility enough at roundabouts and junctions, as well as all the other things that are wrong with them.
