5 year ban, do you think it is enough? or to much?
Should be permanent. Hauliers that operate like this can undercut those who operate within the laws and help drive down rates across the board. The laws are there for a reason, not to be ignored by those who deem them not applicable to their operation.
Running without tax also voids insurance (I think) etc. so its not very fair on the tax paying person who ends up in a collision with them.
The trade would be better off without people like this.Hope they dont start up in their wives name or anything like that.
Truckbling:
Running without tax also voids insurance (I think) etc.
You think wrongly Truckbling. An insurer can not revoke third party liability, with regards to the vehicle in question (HGV), that would be at the discretion of the insurance company (Should the matter arise).
Surely something else was involved, it does seem a bit harsh for a tax disc issue.
Not long enough and hopefully another cowboy off the road.Although I’m sure they will be back under a different name
Did anything actually serious happen? No mention of drivers hours breaches or running without insurance. Worst thing I read is running a truck for 20 days without ved.
In the grand scheme I things there is a hella a lot worse out there and they probably get a 5 year ban aswell so it don’t add up in my mind.
Aye a ban is deserved a example has to be set but i don’t think as a poster above has said to be banned forever.
