Im just off unplaned since 24th Evening but bored as Hell.
When retired i may work till Xmas and then up to the South-West USA where it is warmer (Foggy wetting here)

Hiking the Dessert,picturing the bypassing World up towards Easter then back here,enjoying the Famous Heritage Centres,like Hadrians Wall. Bit working for extra Money till Pension goes up or im too old for that.
But right now is Weather not good enough to get me out of the House.

I was working Christmas Eve and followed the advisory instructions of Immigrant on how to partake in the festive celebration.
I took a sharp left turn down a rural lane, my mirrors getting a good hiding from the low uncut foliage.
I found the farm and the silo store, but no sign of choir singers, a priest or red wine and free bread, I awoke the next morning to discover I was on a 800 acres arable farm with no church nearby that said Harvestsore.No Midnight Mass.

The gist of it is that the latest recipient of the Darwin Award decided to rob the money from a condom machine by blowing it up (not the contents) but in the words of Michael Caine “you’re only supposed to blow the bloody doors off”, well he didn’t and consequently a piece of flying metal struck him. Two friends took him to hospital claiming he had fallen down the stairs. He subsequently died in hospital.

Funnily enough, we watched Das Boot on DVD when we on the boat this time, the Director’s Cut version. The only thing my boat doesn’t have which it could do with is a couple of torpedo tubes for blasting hire boaters out of the water. :stuck_out_tongue:

The enemy below is another great submarine hunting war film with the German Captain played by a fantastic actor called Curt Jurgens, the USA warship Captain was played by Robert Mitchum.
A tense story of cat and mouse hunting, with mind games being used to outwit each others motives and movements.
