around 2pm i drove to a quiet corner of halesfield ind estate (telford) for a snooze, while en route to my usual stop there were 2 blokes drinking a crate at the side of the road. I thought nothing of it, nice weather after all.
As i came within 100 yards one starts dancing in the road and signalling me to stop, i just drive round him at which point he threw his bottle at the back of my van. I stopped and asked what the ■■■■ he was doing and him and his mate started getting aggressive pushing me and throwing a few punches.
Next thing i know a van pulls up and 3 more jump out and I’m not gonna lie they gave me a bloody good kicking. They tried stealing van keys and my wallet but 2 polish drivers (Omega Pilzno?) shouted and ran to help and thankfully they all jumped in the van and sped off. One of the polish lads took me to hospital in my van and got a taxi back.
so a great start to the week with 2 broken knuckles, 3 fractured ribs and lots of cuts and bruises. luckily they didn’t touch my face so I’m still a handsome sod
After the hospital let me go i went back to thank the polish drivers but they were both gone unfortunately but god knows what state i’d be in if it wasn’t for them.
of course because there are no witnesses and my description of them having a thick irish accent and all having the same bowl cut means the police can’t do anything.
they are resorting to more forward ways of extortion because everybody is getting wise to the 1/2 inch tarmac driveways and various other scams,people parking up on a night are leaving their diesel tanks empty till the morning and are not parking in laybys with loads worth anything.
There seems to be an invasion of these lot moving through our normally low crime area,must be making their way down to the annual horse drowning jamboree at Appleby!

Forgot to say,get well soon mate,ps,don’t expect the polis to try and find them,too much like hard work,even if they did find there would be some "travellers rights " ■■■■■■■■ accusing polis of victimisation
Bunch of c u next tuesday’s. Hope you recover from your experience ok, and i think you should send Omega Pilzno an e-mail, telling them what happened, and what their drivers did, its nice to know theres decent drivers out there.

I hope that the Polish drivers dont face prosecution for their actions.The Oirish were following their cultural upbringing when the E.E. came along and zbed things.Remember Tony Martin the farmer who had the temerity to defend himself?
