DB schenker are into all sorts of transport. They are really big internationally, I think they are owned by the German Government.
It is DB schenker that run Stobarts trains.

Sort of, they are owned by Deutsche Bahn AG the German national rail firm. They also own EWS and they run the Royal Train because the Royal family like to stay true to their roots.
