I use a Braun electric shaver , good beard trimmer and shaves very close , if you prefer you can lather up and the Braun wet shaves that as well . Charged up at weekend it will last all week if you are tramping .

I feel dirty and scruffy if I don’t shave properly every morning.
Can’t you just have a wet shave in a bowl? Even if you have to do it stood at your unit steps?
Could do - never really thought of it that way… 
I only do 3 nights out ATM - 4 on 4 off, so an electric shaver was a thought to get by them nights out until I’m home…
