M50 heading towards Monmouth

A40 Monmouth

“Okey-Didley-Dokely” Warm
Have another stab at it

A449 heading to Monmouth

“A449 heading to Monmouth” Still warn.

I call this the “Forgott’on Truck Road” for good reason
in fact the 2 cars in the picture, were the 1st other traffic that Id see for about 10minutes

2xQ (out)

A40 just past the A449 split heading towards Wales and the big roundabout at the end of the carriageway, havent been that way for 8 months or so so cant think what the place is called.

its the A40 from the A449 split heading towards Abergavenny

would also say the A40 up to Abergavenny

maybe the A449 /A40 gets my vote that concreate road know it anywhere

Awarded to kindle530 (as he was 1st)
Your spot on kindle530, as you discribe it,
The large Roundabout is about 1mile ahead (just out of view beyond the distant car)

“kindle530 havent been that way for 8 months or so so cant think what the place is called.”
Hence I named it, The Forgotten Truck Road.
As hardly anyone goes via “The Heads of Vally A40” route anymore.

And yes, there’s still major Roadworks, for about 5 miles, after that Roundabout !!

Typical - one I knew instantly and I only just saw it :frowning:

I use that road every night

“I use that road every night”

?: doz it look any different

OK… “gardun” consolation prize, if you can name the mountain
(almost directly ahead)

Q out >

It’s not as dark as when I see it

It is known as Sugar Loaf but its real name is Mynydd Penyfoal 1965 ft.

Thats it, Heads of the Valley road. Used to go that way a lot a year or 2 ago, not many big concert venues that way so i dont need to go that way anymore.

"Sugar Loaf // Mynydd Penyfoal "

Spot on gardun,
Either you have very good local knoledge,
Or like me, youve been a nutter who jumps off mountains for fun, hanging onto some “Old Rag & Tube”

Ps: I dont fly hang glider 's frequently any more,
I moved over Microlights in 1995,
when I got fed up of yomping the sail up the mountain(s).

That lead to Light Aircraft, until recently
when I went back to silent [engine’less] flight. ( I.e Sailplanes )
