Ok… looks like your stuck on this one

so here’s another couple of clues

  1. Yet again, it near to a Dock ( yes, I seem to be visiting quite a few recently)

  2. Both the tippers in the photo’
    Turn off left up a lane (to the tip) shortly after the next roundabout…

Is it the A38/A430 on the way to Gloucester docks ?

Its been a few years since I was there but is it Hempsted Lane heading towards the dock and the A4301 in the Over direction?

Its that left turn that gave me the idea were it was , only been down there the once and i am sure my satnav was trying to get me to make that left turn to go to the industrial estate thats just down the road if you carry on straight down the main road

Bot GerryT & JDC are correct
As this shoot was taken on the new stretch of Ring Road
which goes around the south western edge of Gloucester.

If you get off at M5 junction 12, and continue to run north toward Hempsted (ind estate)
Traveling along the A38 (Quedgeley byepass) toward Over / Forest of Dean etc
You no longer have to run up Bristol Rd & into Southgate Street.
But instead cross over a new bridge onto this section of road.

PS: the “Left Turn” both tippers took,
is imediately after Joseph Rice’s Old yard in Hempsted Lane…

PPS: expect lots of funny’s from your Sat-Nav as it thinks you’ve gone Off-Road
and it attempts to direct you back to a solid road…:slight_smile:

( this new stretch isnt even in my 2008 atlas
but is a great improvement over the old route if you need either the Docks
or to get across to the A40 / M50 Ledbury etc. from the M5 Northbound !!. )
