Thanks for that, I wound up reading several other obits, some people lead interesting lives.

There were less children enlisted in WW11.During the first World War the problem of children as young as 12 years being enlisted was rife.My grandfather served in France at the age of 15 years.Lloyde George took action to get as many as possible sent back home.Of course he was too late for some.

I love the Telegraph Obituaries, especially the military ones, but that one has a comical twist at the end, being turned down for the Black and White Minstrels
