Dave the Renegade:
A Daf road sweeper, seen on the A438 at Glasbury on Wye,Radnorshire.
Iirc Dave is on holiday, so lets see if I can help keep this topic close to the top of the page.
AS I do not have any pic’s, I will use one of Dave’s. This one is of particular interest to me as it is the last company I worked for in Cardiff before leaving for the States. To be honest, Gullivers was probably the best company I have worked for, family owned and run in my time by Gaberial Harding, the founder of Gullivers Travels Self Drive Hire and these days by Gabe’s son’s Phillipe and Nick.
Its also good to see the likes of Ivor Duggan and Sons, putting new vehicles into service.
Regards Paul

I seem to recall reading something about this is Trucking. The only FH 8x4 tipper in the country, has something stupid like 520HP!

Was this ERF bought by Williams (‘Square Lodge’) in Caernarfon? Seem to remember the number plate from a few years ago?

Hi Jonmea, that third pic down the 8 wheel Bardon Scania and trailer.
What would be the gtw of this outfit ? I have seen 6 wheelers and trailer but not an 8. Its a little hard to see if the trailer is a tandem or tri axle.
Cheers Paul

Hi Paul the trailer was a tri axle. I saw it at truckfest a couple of years ago. there is a MAN skip lorry like that running round our way the gross weight on that is 44 ton. would think the scania is the same.
I drove an 8 wheeler ERF and twin axle drag, that grossed at 44 ton

That FH has been beaten by a 540 bhp new shape one on the Volvo Trucks UK website a few months ago, to me the FH is to bigger cab for tipper work. I,ve got a FM and thats perfect for some of the places we go although it would be better with those new FMX mirrors.
