Hi, im trying to work out the year, first thought it was about 1983, but if I am right and the lorry in the background is the Volvo belonging to Nick Jones then it would put it a couple of years later (85 or 86 ?)
regards Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
Would think it’s earlier than 85. Jet had a new D reg Scania with a lift axle in 86,also had a C reg Scania before that.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Dave, I first thought that it was the early 80s, but I am fairly sure that its Nicks Volvo in the background, and I know that he was still running the F88 in 1984, Jets C reg scania would have been registerd in 85 to 86., ps are you watching channel 116, its behind the scenes at the Leyland museum.
regards Andrew.

you can catch it later on the BBc i.player (channel four),my old F10 was on a B plate,“1985”, it is much easier to remember the years on the old plates before they changed in 2001.Doesnt realy matter what was the actual year of the photo, its just me being a bit of an anorak !!, brilliant photos,I well remember the day when Jet had his new D plate 112, turned up at the Gore with it, I think Kimmo had a sister to it.and like I said before, where the dickens has the time gone ?
regards Andrew
