road run i guess, possibly the irish (heart of wales) run they go on.
Jet went on the London fuel protests for Des Owen. IF i remember right, Owen Transport used to take someones military vehicle down to the war & peace show @ the hop farm, kent. When they collected it to bring it back they went via the fuel demo @ london. He went in a P112 that Des had, dad was working there at the time and he tidied it up a bit and put a 3 series front on it. A picture of it appeared in one of the magazines (truck & driver or 1 of the others).

Hi 143,
I told Jet that I didn’t know Les,but seeing your pic of him with Juke’s AEC has woken me up. I remember him driving the six wheeler,a dark haired bloke similar age to me back in the late 60’s.Juke’s used to do some hauling for Passey Nott of Kington when they were quiet, and I saw him around quite a bit in those days.
Cheers Dave.

Line up of old moters once again at a show, pic courtesy of Jet Morgan.

Another of Jet Morgan’s pic’s,atkidave will probably know who the young bloke is.

This is at Welland steam rally. The Austin was owned by Steve Morgan, but was sold at the auction at welland to William Gilder. I beleive William Gilder sold it on soon after. Steve sold it to help fund the restoration of a 1963 ERF KV tractor unit that he bought. This is being restored for him by Alan Coxill and should make it’s first appearance at Gaydon in June.
