Hi Andrew,
Haven’t really been in keeping with this forum,it’s old time lorries, but couldn’t get enough of those,so been putting the modern one’s on,most people seem to like them. I have been promised quite a few older pics, will stick them on when I get them, also it keeps our little backwater in the swim with the rest of the haulage world.
Cheers Dave.

Now now Dave don’t lose heart !! here’s one just for you and I know you would just love to run up and down to Neath one more time !!!Dennis.

Hi Dennis,
Going to Neath in my sprinter will do me these days,it’s got more power than a TK,not that I use it,want it to last a good few years.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Dave, just codgitating, do you have any photos of Ted Hardwick or Dennis Roberts, when I was a young driver they were both a great help,I remember the advice I was once given by Dennis when I was a bit quicker than I needed to be, "if one load doesnt pay, two never will "
regards Andrew.

Yes remember them both Andrew, two steady owner drivers. Dennis packed up a bit earlier than Ted. I will have to ask Brenda his daughter in law ,if there’s any pics around or Dennis son Colin at West Pennine.
Cheers Dave.

Hi John,
It would either be J & P Turner or Passey Nott & Co. Turners are still going with one lorry, and Passey nott sold out about 22 years ago.
Cheers Dave

Here’s the Turner pic.

Hi Dennis,
The tippers are very busy at the moment at the local quarries, theyhave got a lot of lorries in from other areas plus extra concrete mixers. As for DERV it’s going up all the time, but they are getting less in rates, they had a 2.5% cut last year, but as you know there’s always hauliers who will do it whatever the price.
Cheers Dave.
