Hi Harry,
Don’t think they run a lowloader anymore, think he only runs three artics and an eight wheeler mainly on bulk tipping work, may still have a trombone in use also a curtainsider.
Cheers Dave.

Hi John,
You are quite right about it being a graveyard, there are a lot of FL10 and 7’s down that yard, several have been stripped of bits for spares also quite a few parked, brought out when needed I would think. There weren’t as many parked as there was back in august when I called by,we met quite a few making there way back to base. It’s a real anorak’s paradise for lorry idiiots like me,plenty of units, tippers, also brand new kit,as they are Volvo main dealers, fair play they were ok about us taking pics, said take as many as you like, had to watch your back,as they were shunting trailers and mechanics moving stuff around. A busy place in the middle of nowhere.
Cheers Dave.

A couple of more modern FH’s parked opposite a workshop.

Hi Dave
Some of them don’t look that bad, But I suppose there getting on a bit and have done a lot of work. ( like me my old girl says I need parking up!!! )

I noticed the FL7 with cab up has got an ejector seat, not a good idea to eject with the cab tipped :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

cheers

John.

Hi John,
I would think they still use some of them when there’s a road or a site job on muckshift or quarry work. When they were improving a stretch of the A477 for about three miles going towards Pembroke Dock about four years ago, they had F7’s on that. They have a quarry of there own, also do quite a bit for Gilmans quarries.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Dave
I didn’t know they had a quarry of there own, I knew they are a big old outfit. They just as well keep the old stuff then if they have that kind of work, worth more to them in that way than the resale value.

Cheers

John.
