Seven and a half tonner, coming into Avonmouth.
They don’t make them like this anymore. One of veteran haulier Clive Bowen’ old Roadtrain’s in the corner of his Pembridge yard. Long time bulk haulier Clive was out loading grain.
Terry Davies with one of Phil Morris eight wheeler Daf’s,weighing out at the Gore Quarry.
One of Clive Bowen’s old Foden 4,000 series tractor units, parked behind his Discovery.
Ive seen an artic parked outside this house for over thirty years. Last time I went by,no lorry, thought, oh well the chaps retired, went by on sunday, there is an artic, back in the same spot. This Chap has been driving for D M Davies & Sons of Dryslwyn Carmarthen for well over thirty years, and has always parked his artic in this manner,no mean feat.I used to pass by there about three times a week going to Pembroke Dock, always noticed the wagon, from a Seddon Atkinson, through to a few ERF’s. If you are on Trucknet mate, I salute you. A proper driver.
Nice Volvo of Scottish haulier J W Morrison, seen on the A44 Kington bypass, after loading at the local quarries.
Looks like an ex Williams of Wigmore Foden, parked in Clive Bowens yard. Knowing Clive this lorry is far from finished.
Mark Herrits with his Scania eight wheeler tipper, giving me the lights, when I met him on the A44 at Lyonshall, this afternon.
Hi Hammer or Jonmea,or the other North Wales members, are you any of these testing the new Queensferry Bridge.
Another one that nearly got by.Owner driver Dave Powell in his Daf six wheeler, coming down Penhros on the A44 into Kington.
One of Ivor Duggan’s Foden six wheelers,on the A44 at Dunfield near Kington.

Hi jonmea,

Cheers Dave.
Pictured at the Lazy Kettle truckstop and Gledrid sevices, also owned by James Pickstock, this 1947 Austin K4 tanker.
Nice one Dave, the old K4 really looks good mate.

Yah, thats me at the back = overtaking the queueing traffic. I’ve still got that habit, all part of driving a tipper.
A more modern moter of James Pickstock’s,pictured near his old Austin,at Gledrid.
