Hows this for a clean lorry, tipping a load of lime in a field, waiting on the ramps for the spreader to come back for another load.

Dave loving all your pics, this one took my eye though - can’t be good for the lorry parked like that, springs and axles all over the place? The fact that it is part loaded must have made it much worse too?

I’ve never been on a lime spreader so I don’t know if its still common practice these days?

Keep the pictures coming though!

Yes Hammer, it is common practice, if you are tipping slag or vibrofos it can take a few hours to get tipped. Ivor Duggan who has lorries featured on this thread does this work full time, and his trucks never give him any trouble.
Cheers Dave.

Just noticed this, I thought the name rang a bell!

I bought the sister 6-wheeler of this lorry four years ago from NH Jones and it’s still going strong, going for test next Friday as it happens!

Mine has a blue cab with a white body. The stickers it had all over the cab and body took me a whole weekend to get off, Mr NH Jones specced some bloody good glue when he put them on!)

N H Jones always painted his lorries blue until a few years ago, he had a couple of new scania eight wheelers about six years ago, then sold them. He has had a few Dafs, Leylands, bit of all sorts since. Will have a few more older pics on here soon, just a matter of collecting them from the various old firms and drivers.
Cheers Dave.
