Hi Dave,
The amazing thing is it is all done by gravity! How would they of surveyed that and got it right in 1890 ish?

Hi Pete,
If you have a spare day, take a trip up to the ‘’ Elan Valley Visitor Centre ‘’. They have displays on the building of the Dams and pipeline etc showing how it all works. You can look it up on the web.
Cheers Dave.

It is on my to do list Dave, I done a job up by there year before last, the old Elan Valley Social Club, was on the right hand side just before the hotel,in fact it was one of my last jobs driving before I got stuck behind this bloody desk with just Trucknet to keep me in touch with the outside world!!

Google Elan Valley Pete, it will give you all the info and photo’s.
Cheers Dave.

A pair of hard worked tippers. Looks as if they have been used on farm road construction.

A lot of grants for building farm roads in the 60’s/70’s. Stone dug out of hillside on site and hauled varying distances on knackered tippers. Bodies came off anything Pete.
Cheers Dave.

Hi, Trevor I THINK the Sunhill has a load of Kingspan on not steel, Cheers Barry

I would say you are correct “barrywaddy”, The front grill points to this for the pump being driven from the front of the engine, Regards Larry.
