piece of cake dave , unless of course farmer giles wants it through the picking hole into the loft . that was ok until you were halfway through and tiring and the rest had to be thrown uphill . dave
I did quite a lot of that Dave, with a pitchfork, which I didn’t mind,as I didn’t like stacking bales, much preferred pitching them.
Cheers Dave.

Same to you and your family Keith. Been very fortunate that Neil Richards has let me have access to his brilliant collection of photo’s of his lorry driving days and the A44 snow scenes near his home on the edge of Radnor Forest.
Cheers Dave.

Another from Neil. C M Philpotts bought this Bedford TK new in 1967 and it ran at 14 ton gross until it was down rated when the plating law came in.
It was a good lorry with a 381 engine and a two speed axle. I drove it for a few weeks when the regular driver took his holidays. C M Philpotts sold it along with another TK to Bill Middleton who owned it when Neil took this pic.

Hiya,
It’s a six wheeler I know but the bodywork on this looks very heavy, maybe it isn’t
but it gives me the impression she tares off at quite a lot, then again I don’t know
anything about animal transport, the nearest I got was when I picked a MAT tilt
up at Dover loaded for Bradford and Manchester loaded with rocking horses just
in time for the Christmas rush Oh’ and there was a couple of extras on board it
must have been an Italian guy at the loading end Milan who couldn’t count or just
bunged em’ on until it was full but it did keep me in beer money for a couple of
weekends, well they were good quality and both customers gave clear signatures.
thanks harry, long retired.
