Dave the Renegade:

First Leyland Constructor purchased by C W Griffiths.

Dad had one of those bramd new on Smiths. It was well known that you had to be thought of to get a new Foden at Smiths. Dad reckoned the Fodens of the early '80s were much more comfortable but the Constructor would beat them on hills and off road. He said his Leyland always started first time even in freezing weather.
He still preferred the Bison 2s over the Constructors though.

C W Griffiths had several Bisons before he bought the Constructors Nathan, then he had a lot of Fodens, and would still be buying them if they were still
being built.
Cheers Dave.
