Hi John,
John Hybart who lent me these pics worked for Bulmers as a lorry driver for many years, but in different times when it belonged to the Bulmer family. Definitely not like that nowadays. We have taken pics at various places over the last few years, but I don’t think we would be allowed on the premises now.
Cheers Dave.
It’s so sad the way things have gone lately.
When I delivered apples to Bulmers …years ago I knew the names of most of the chaps in the yard and some of the family who were still involved. We all greeted each other by christian names and things were a lot more easy-going, but the job got done, probably quicker than it does now.
A lot of it was moved to Ledbury a few years back with multi million investment there. Now they are investing millions at Hereford again, and calling it the home of Cider . Marketing men for you.
Cheers Dave.
Must be hard work when you’re on site avoiding all those arrows flashing towards you every time you open your mouth…
John.
Three sheets, now that’s something different! Cheers Bewick.
After looking at these photos I could drink a glass of cider.
