A very tight turn over the river Arrow bridge, opposite where you turned into J & P Turners. Must have been hard to access, even though the yard size was OK Keith.
Cheers Dave.

General haulage as far as I know Keith. I know a chap called Jack Higgs was nationalised, but there’s not many old drivers left around to ask. If I think of someone that will know, I will ask them.
Cheers Dave.
Now that is one smart motor Dave. Thanks for posting it.
Cheers Dave.
That must be at clayton engineering at Knighton , they build those tracked lifeboat launching tractors and associated equipment there .

Hiya,
Dave, I’ve just Googled the location of the Kington BRS depot I never had cause
to use it but it was listed in an old “red and rusters” handbook I do recall having
a look for a refuelling point when I’d delivered to a farm somewhere over the
“mountains” but found I had enough to get comfortably to Hereford a good thing
really it looked a bad get in get out if I’m in the right place, and I’d a 55 footer
trailer on and I would have had the game using that place which incidentally
looks like a supermarket now, so Hereford it was who were pleased to see me I
got a nice load of structural steel from Painter’s for the North of Scotland which
meant a night at home on the “hey diddle diddle”.

Hi Harry,
There is no way you would have got a short artic into that yard. The angle off the main road is to tight to get a short artic around, let alone a 55 footer. It must a have been tight with a rigid. I will see in I can get my camera person on the case.
Cheers Dave.
Would Atkidave know if that Lifeboat-liveried Merc actually belongs to the RNLI or is it a contract motor?

The old A44 into Kington. The BRS yard was down a lane on the right by the wooden sign.
The BRS yard was at the bottom of this lane on the left. The ditch on the left was full of water until a few years ago.
