worked for a few local firms in my time,including h v bowen corfields newtown, e breese of kerry owner driver for 17 years
then finished up for j s evans for 10 years, heart attack ended it all happy new year everybody

Same here Dave, 5 inches of the blooming stuff fell here on Boxing Day and up to today nowt has been gritted apart from the County Offices car park and the road up to it! Milder today though and now it has virtually melted, the gritters will venture out now I bet. :unamused:

He was based in Hereford Keith. The firm is still going, now run by his Grandson James Dawe. Still hauling out of the quarries, as well as other haulage work.

Not sure either James, but there were a lot of various hauliers about years ago. Those Dodges and the Commer were my era. I drove similar to those two.
