J&B have some Tarmac liveried mixers doing a lot of work around here out of Radley plant near Abingdon. That Terex Finlay is a screener of some sort; I can’t tell whether it’s got a crusher combined in it though, it looks a big one. Terex bought Powerscreen/Finlays a few years ago.Hi Nathan,
We get J & B rigids up here when I would think its quiet down your way where they work out of.They did have a Scania from up here off one of the O/D’s a few years back in Tarmac colours. John Altitude will probably know how many rigids they run.
Cheers Dave.
Not really sure how many they have now Dave, they always kept 2 or 3 years ago when they did mainly coal, as some of the coal yards were very small, I wouldn’t think they have many as tippers, they have a few with mixers on based all over the place.

Hi Steve,
Yes that is the same unit CN 11 AVW. Mac Smith had an older Renault Premium which was written off by another driver,he then drove a Daf unit that was on hire until the 11 reg arrived.
KTH stands for Ken’s Tipper Hire which was founded by Ken Preece in the early 70’s.Ken had driven for BRS and various other fims including Dorcliff Transport run by his father Cliff Preece based at Canon Pyon.
Ken sadly passed away suddenly in October 1997 he was only 54.Lee Preece his son and Karen his daughter-in-law have run the firm since Ken,they were already part of the business prior to his death along with Hazel his wife.
Ken Preece was a great bloke a larger than life character who is missed by all who knew him.
Cheers Dave.
