latest ones say DOWNTON delivers - and they have silver painted wheelsProbably due to some of the different contracts they have. All these big hauliers seem to change their livery every so often.

I don’t know Nathan.I have just emailed them asking them to sort it out.I pay £23 each year to use it and it won’t re-size my pics.Have been uploading through tinypic the last couple of days which is annoying as I already have them on photobucket.
Cheers Dave.

What benefits do you get from paying? I know there’s no adverts…The freebie does me for now, I’ve never bothered with the “attachments” way through TNUK as several non member colleagues like to view the Smiths pages.
Here goes. I believe there were half a dozen of these. Might be more by now, the trailers are STAS supplied and painted by Steadplan at Clitheroe. ( I was parked behind one once)

With the paying for pro use you have unlimited bandwidth. The last few days I have been getting adverts.
Cheers Dave.
There’s a thread on Prof Driver Forum about Downtons and not all complimentary…

Quite a few on that forum that aren’t very complimentary about a lot of the big outfits.

hiya,
Some motor that Dave, wonder how many engines it’s had certainly won’t be the original
with all those years behind it unless it isn’t used very often, I remember a Kew that had
two new engines fitted in a very short time, nearly skint the O/D, I think it was Perky
powered say no more even a lightfoot (erm) like me could quickly kill them.
thanks harry long retired.

The last firm I drove for had one as a spare motor Harry.I drove it several times. It had a Perkins 6354 engine.I didn’t like driving it to be honest it was cramped sat in the thing.OK for the short blokes but anyone around 6’ wouldn’t be comfortable. That one of Alf Arrowsmiths has been featured in truck mags a few times.I would have thought it has had a few engines,as you say. That lorry is about fifty years old.
Cheers Dave.
