Hardly any rain this way in fact we’ve had very decent weather some sunshine
today was beautiful Jen and me caught the bus into Durham City and we had a
nice long walk along the riverside, we’ve had a very mild Winter to date with
very little rain unlike most parts of the country according to the news anyway.

A bit of minor flooding in Dewsbury after yesterdays storm but all is OK, this morning The Royal Navy arrived to help:-

Had a word with Tony Lewis who can’t remember a Peter Bailey, he says its Peter Ball who was then in Madley are who had the Guy, still trading from Yarkhill. A brother to the late Michael Ball the hay & straw merchant.

Had a word with Tony Lewis who can’t remember a Peter Bailey, he says its Peter Ball who was then in Madley are who had the Guy, still trading from Yarkhill. A brother to the late Michael Ball the hay & straw merchant.

Hi Dave, thanks for this , yes i certainly remember Peter Ball at Madley , ran quite a few Commer 2 strokes on straw work , but in later years had a F88 Volvo and drag , i think he occasionally did a bit of steel as well . regards Keith
