Paul Christie drove for Entress, then later Brian Barnett both from Kington. Colin King from Gladestry drove for W G Davies before moving to South Wales.
Wyndham Habberly from Kington, then Llandrindod Well s who drove for Morfa Transport, sadly passed away last week, a tough little bloke fondly remembered as Kimo Saby, often wore a waistcoat and was bare chested, a real character.Later drove for Ted Gillum and G T Middleton, M A Evans and finally A E Gough.
Cheers Dave.

HI Dave,
Very sorry to hear that Wyndham Habberly from Llandrindod has passed away R.I.P.---- he was the spitting image of " Freddie Starr ".
He was always friendly and helpfull. He looked so good in Morfa’s Atki . — Hywel.

Quite right there Hywel,he was about the same height as Freddie Starr. I was surprised to see that he was only 71. I always thought of him being a few years older. As you say he was a cheerful bloke, always had a few tales to tell, he will be remembered by a lot of drivers and hauliers.
Cheers Dave.

Our good mate Graham sent some more pics of one of his latest heavy loads.

Hello dave ,lived in Llanpumsaint maybe 25+years ago.worked partime for C.Footman on the spuds ,tipping trailers and fertilizer deliveries.Used to go to flour mill at avonmouth as he stored and it in his yard. think it was spillers. Not an easy man to work for ,was a bit harder for me being english but on the whole a good lot of lads especially when we where on the spuds.Remember tipping spuds at london market and loaded spuds back to wales from wisbech. strange eh.
Best wishes
