One of Bayliss Brothers Scania rigids, seen on the A44 near Pembridge, Herefordshire.
I notice that wellies are still the required footwear in the Gore, Dave.

hiya,
Where’s the bods from “Trades Descriptions” open all day it looks shut to me.
thanks harry, long retired.
that’s normal now harry , from about the 90s on they all shut up shop and went home about 2pm . you couldn’t get a decent brew or a bit of snap unless you got a mortgage and went to a "truckstop ". we were never without a brew in dave’s neck of the woods though , lazy trout , craven arms , winforton etc .

It was on a Sunday a few weeks ago that we took that pic, but quite agree half of premises give the wrong signage.
Same as you Tony, have noticed The Lazy Trout is shut again. Its never done much good since Jean & Mick Farmer sold up and retired.
Cheers Dave.
I pass the cafes at prees now again, they never seem busy,
I think most of it is down to trucks now having fridges in them, On my 4 days at work, I rarely spend a penny,
I take everything I need with me, and can eat a decent meal, wherever and whenever I want,
And the quality of some of the meals I have had at cafes recently, I think I will stick to my own catering
But as you said dave, you get the good owners and good food, and they will still get the trade
regards
