Cheers Dave.

Not sure Steve, he’s based at Redmarley between Ledbury and Cheltenham, so you could be right.
Cheers Dave.

I think the pea job started in 1959 when you could see them growing in the fields along the road. They were grown by the aforementioned White’s, Frank Thomas (first farm the other side of the crossroads from the photos) and a relation of his, Rhys Thomas, of Preston Court whose farm was about half a mile further on- beautiful black & white half timbered manor house on the left-hand side.
As you say, Dave, I think the pea contract continued into the 60s. The last time I went past, Frank Thomas’ shelling machine had disappeared although the dutch barn style shed that had housed it was still standing.

More ramblings… :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Hi Steve, no it’s not the same Andy Lee, the one who used to run Tivoli now works in the office for Gordon Gilder and the former TM of Tivoli( Dave Harris) owns MLC Transport based in Andoversford , hope this clears up any confusion. Regards
