A bit modern for the show, but I think it brought another with it.
Dave the Renegade:
Bedford O type artic with a Scammell coupling.
hiya,
Dave did a couple of weeks on one like this early in my career and I might tell
you I wouldn’t like to drive it very far (especially in the wet) without a trailer
and a little bit of weight over the coupling, they was a nightmare solo.
thanks harry, long retired.

They do look very light Harry. Those Bedford’s were a very light lorry in normal guise.
Cheers Dave.

I imagine that these were a municipal vehicle.
Only two of these left in existance Dave, think they were a concept vehicle with a funny rear swinging-arm / air suspension set up. It had a few advantages but was way to heavy i believe. The other example was long wheelbase boxvan. Not sure but i believe ERF had something to do with the design of the chassis and suspension on this vehicle or something very similar.

A artic bulk tipper had an off on the A44 near Lyonshall, Herefordshire early morning last Monday. Luckily the driver wasn’t badly hurt.

The bumper on it has a look of a mercedes about it, maybe a 814.
