Wouldn’t fancy running one of those flathead V8’s,they were wicked on petrol and not easy to work on. IIRC setting the points involved hanging upside down between the radiator and engine with a torch and a mirror!

So right there Trev H. I seem to remember that there were two sets within the distributor -with the Canadian model anyway —Toshboy

Yes that’s right the distributor shaft had 4 cam lobes with 2 set’s of points, one for each bank, oh and I forgot the woodbine packet to set the gap :laughing: :laughing:
