hiya,
Dave I’ve worked for a lot of hauliers in my time (and I mean a lot) and after I’ve wracked
my brain I can honestly say of all the yards I’ve been in and out of I can honestly say that I
can’t remember where the wash was in any of them, the nearest I can get was at one yard
there was a small bore hosepipe just inside the gate which was handy for throwing into the
cab for topping up the screenwash bottle and swilling the ■■■ ash off the cab floor usually
that occurred when the bottle became full and overflowed.
thanks harry, long retired.

i’m with you there harry , i like to se a lorry looking as if it has been working . i don’t even wash my own car any more , i wait until the wife complains that it looks mucky and take it down to the car wash , cheers , dave

hiya,
I’m pleased about that Dave I thought I was the only one, I was beginning to
think I had leprosy, one or two gaffers have told me the motor could do with
a wash but never had a bollocking and one firm I worked for the guvnor used
to wash my wagon every Sunday morning I even had to wait a bit one morning
when I was down the road while he finished, I didn’t mind it was a Sunday and
it was double time in those far off days, he did do a good job as well.
thanks harry, long retired.
