So did mine, but I think it was in 1953. There was a photo in the family archives (shoe box) with a load of mangels at one time but the old chap chucked the whole lot out when he went a bit loopy toward the end of his life. Did yours have the misfiring petrol engine or the Perkins?

It had the 6 cylinder petrol engine,it could have been 1953 that he had it new LCJ504,he drove for Passey Nott & Co Ld from Kington who also had a depot in Hereford.They ran mainly Bedfords right up until they sold out in the 1980’s.
