those unimogs look a handy tool dave , i used to do that job with a 4x4 s type bedford . trouble with our area is there aren’t many flat fields to spread , it was mostly steep banksides , some were so steep we had to reverse up and spread downhill , if we had tried to turn on the bank we would have rolled over . cheers ,dave

S W Brisbane who I drove for from Knighton had a 4X4 S type Bedford on lime spreading Dave,it was the last lime spreader they had.When I was a kid they had ex American army GMC six wheelers and QL Bedfords on lime spreading.
I hauled a lot of lime and slag when I drove for C W Griffiths,but his spreader was a Massey Ferguson 65 tractor and land drive spreader.
Those Unimogs seemed good tools,but it would be difficult to tip into them off ramps.They must have been loading them with a Bob Cat after the lorries had tipped the lime onto the ground.

I might see you there Dave it depends on the weather and if i can wait for a day !! The west mid show ground is only about 2 miles from my home . Its lucky really because I have no car it was scaped today and i don’t think we will have a car now . Its getting too much to run a car . Sob story over Have you been too the west mid show ground ? . Sorry to hear about you car troubles Tony.I haven’t actually been onto the showground,but if I remember right its up past the old Furrows garage. I will find it.
