Tim Tyler as requested by Steve AKA fryske.
Very nice Dave -
And where would a snapper with time on his hands next week track down such a vehicle!
Does he go to the quarries?

Cheers Dave.
No - he was on his way to Wigmore
The pic was taken from the layby on the B4360 at Cholstrey(?) just a couple of minutes past Conods
Lawrence Dunbar:
0Its great to see a good old motor still going, I ran quite a few Leylands myself, A good friend of mine who also ran them had this one from new and it never missed a beat, Sadley its laid up now waiting to be restored to its former glory, Regards Larry.
A narrow-cabbed Constructor 8 is a rare beast these days - I hope it gets restored!

Good motors for tipper work Larry, nice and narrow cab for accessing awkward places.
Cheers Dave.
Lawrence Dunbar:
0Well I do hope so, It was replaced by this Ex Rank Hovis Tanker, Which of course had the tank removed & the tipper body fitted by the owner David Lowdon from Seaton Burn, This is also a good motor, It has an Eaton Twin Splitter Box with the 330 Engine it pulls like a train & can carry 20 Tonnes plus, Regards Larry.
There are a few Dafs running from these local quarries this way Larry, but they aren’t as popular this way as the Leyland or the Foden which they replaced.Volvo and Scania rule this way these days.
Cheers Dave.
