hello dave,

Passing away aged 70, Dave is no age. It makes you wonder if working after retirement is worth it. My Dad retires next May and can’t wait. His older brother who worked with us on Smiths retired a few months early due to ill health and now looks fitter 7 years on. Their Dad died aged 73 and still worked part time, yet there are a few lorry drivers out there now well past that age.
You can tell the older ones, thay don’t have lorries covered in bling and don’t knock the kit about. Some people call it experience.
Just seen Walters big Scania at J32 of the M4, with a Celtic Energy Cat dumptruck on.

Greetings, fellow MAN driver. Just about to depart Daves’ kingdom, off back my side of the water.

Your lucks really out then Nathan if your driving a MAN, if it’s anything like the heap I’ve got now, all the rest I have driven have been great, but this thing needs some petrol and a match to rid the world of it.I’ve got a day off today to save me from having to go for counseling.
It’s got a 320 so ok for this job. It’s rented so it’s basic spec, although I can understand peoples’ criticisms; The auto 'box hunts for gears occasionally and there are a couple of annoying rattles from the interior. It’s not even done 30000km yet.

Not for about twenty years Graham.People tell me its OK. I thought they were dry when I last had some from there. We usually get fish & chips from Presteigne which is only five miles from here.
Cheers Dave.

Yes it is a bad place to get through Tony. There is a tearoom before you get the bridge I think.Don’t go that way much, maybe four times a year. The road from Knighton to Bishops Castle is horrible.
Cheers Dave
