What a sight! I wish there were still Constructors working around where I am! Even a pre CF DAF 85 is a rare sight these days :frowning:

Powys Petroleum have two Constructors and a four wheeler Leyland Freighter on their fleet. The driver of the one seen
here likes the lorry and says its much better than the newer wagons for getting into narrow places.
Cheers Dave.

Yes Dai I remember that one of Praills very well. When you saw that one out and about, you knew someone was in big trouble.
Thanks for posting the pic.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the photographs of the Welsh cattle wagons. We don`t get to see these hauliers in our part
of northern England .
Were any horses for sale at Knighton Auction on the day you made the visit ?

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Most of the livestock wagons from our area go down to London or Kent with th Go Go girls. My late cousin who ran a six wheeler Scania used to run up north to abattoirs and also to Stranraer with cattle.
No they had all been exported to Romania Roy. I don’t think any of the local markets have horse sales. They have cob sales at The Royal Welsh showground at Llanelwedd,Builth Wells.Don’t really know where they hold other sales of the critters, not my scene horses.
Probably ate quite a few over the years, but I ain’t squeamish.
Cheers Dave.

Sorry about the junk in my van,but if I cropped the pic,the Iveco seen at Knighton market would be missing.

Hi, Dave ,can you help about 4 or 5 ,years ago when ■■■■■■■ up and down the M 5 ,north bound some where between Worcester and Frankley services on the right hand side there was a farm on the bank it had a Dodge tilt cab tipper in blue with a steel dropside body ,Didnt look as iff it needed a lot doing to it just woundered iff it is stll there ,Or been sold on you could it better in the fall when all the leaves had gone ,Just woundering ,Cheers Barry

Hi Barry,
I have rarely travelled that piece of motorway living where I do.We go different ways from here and miss that stretch of road.
I expect someone on here will know if its still there. The nearest I go to that part is up the M42 which splits from the M5 lower down.
Cheers Dave.
