I won’t be leaving Gobowen early enough to get back to Dobbies before 11am Tony. Will have to give it a try another day.We have a good breakfast when we usually stop at the Butty Box.Its two bacon, two sausage, beans, tomatoes, one egg plus bread & butter with a mug of tea which is £4.00.
Sometimes we across to the Raven or the Midway at Prees Heath, also take some lorry pics as well.
Cheers Dave.

Plenty of these on the move at the moment, seen on the A49 at Wellington,Herefordshire. The header was on a carrier behind a tractor up ahead.

My good friend Graham Hillman sent me some more pics, taken at the Leyland museum. This one is of the gas turbine engine which was supposed to be the saviour of Leyland.

Another from Graham, taken at the Leyland museum.

Whats the thing with the small wheeled second axle ? Tony
It takes the “4w” mgw from 18 upto 24t or thereabouts. A 4w dustcart wouldn’t carry a lot so to avoid overloading they put the lift axle on. Quite popular on tippers with insulated bodies. There’s an od around here who has one in Hanson blue (no Hanson name now as franchise on it ran out) who does a bit for us and carries 14500. Close to a 6w payload but shorter-and a pain the arse to load as the body isn’t much bigger than a 4w.

Another old Oswestry pic from Graham taken at the museum.

A nice pic from Graham, considering its taken inside the museum.

Thanks to Graham for another nice pic of a classic.
Here is a name that has often appeared on here before
