Thanks for posting the pic Dai. There used to be a driver from Kington called Colin King who drove for W G Davies in the late 60’s and early 70’s.He had a brand new Atkinson. He moved down to South Wales soon afterwards. Probably retired now.
Cheers Dave.

GB Liners oriiginally from Hereford now have depots all over the country. This one was seen on a removal job in Weobley,Herefordshire.
Hi Dave,
GB Liners actually originated in Brighton in the early 1920s by the current MD’s grandad. Rob Bartup the MD lives in Marden. I’m not sure who drives that truck now as the original driver has moved onto one of the new MAN’s they run. Very different as GB Liners are Daf through and through and have only ever had 1 Volvo other than Daf.
Sorry to hijack your thread and don’t mean to be pedantic! Keep up the good work

Bloody hell you have a good memory Dave!!
Yes, they used to run bedfords, they even had a couple of single axle trailers. If you know how tight their yard is in hereford, you will understand why they don’t run artics anymore! I think the leylands/dafs started arriving in early 1980’s and have remained there ever since…until now it would seem

Where does he think he is Brands Hatch? The lean angle on that cab, enough to make you sick all that rocking and rolling!

Hi jdc,
I remember the Bedfords quite well. A lot of hauliers in Herefordshire ran Bedfords as Vincent Greenhouse at Lyde near Hereford were Bedford main agents.Yes the access to their yard would be tight.
Cheers Dave.
