Hi Harry,
It was absolutely immaculate when he bought it.My mate who lived by me drove it for him the whole time he owned that lorry and was gutted when he updated it.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Merfyn,
My next door neighbour often mentions Tonfanau quarry,he lodged in Towyn for a few weeks working at the quarry fitting some plant. He was a fitter for Nash Rocks at Strinds quarry for several years, before ending up donig an easier job driving a loading shovel.

Im sure that would be when Nash rocks bought the quarry. there wasnt any plant there then. Most of the crushers and tarplant came from the quarries down your way.

That’s right Merfyn,it was when they bought the quarry which must be over twenty years ago now.I know he said it was a cold place to work with the wind blowing straight off the sea.
Cheers Dave.
Dave the Renegade:
The Cargo cab looks small next to the Sed/Atki.
Cab had to be kept small to attract max payload potential - it was the Ford ethos before exiting the market! Crap as a long distance truck, but the best for ‘day work’ - hence very few sold as Tractor Units. Above the obvious 7.5 ton market, a great tipper, cement mixer, sweeper, dustcart, dray wagon etc, etc. Castigated badly as a tractor unit and rightly so; though I just use mine as a second daily runabout and rarity. Drivers hate 'em, but I love 'em

That was the only Cargo in these quarries.Brian Griffiths didn’t keep it long,he changed it for a new Volvo FL7.
Cheers Dave…
