This Daf would suit Harry Gill with no bling on it  .

hiya,
Now that’s how a working motor should look, if only I could manage to climb in the cab and get it started where am I going ■■ and if it’s an automatic thingy I’ll need to have a “proper” modern day driver to show me how to go on, I would gladly enrol him on my roping and sheeting course for free, now there’s an offer that can’t be sniffed at.
thanks harry long retired.

I don’t know if its automatic or not Harry.I expect you would get up in it fast enough if you wanted to.I don’t think Owens do any roping and sheeting, although I have seen them with steel coils.
Cheers Dave.

This Volvo is from near Llanwrtyd Wells on the Brecon-Carmarthen border.

The mural is diffferent.

I got overtook by a Daf XF yesterday with a good mural; it was red with ghostly images of coal miners and the “coal not dole” slogan. Not sure if it’s Welsh or not though.

Can’t say I’ve seen that one Nathan, perhaps some of the South Wales lads might know.
Cheers Dave.

A nice newish Scania for the heavier work.

my mate Steve Jeffries drives this Scania,he was once an owner driver and drove for Ken Mitchell of Neath abbey.

One of Burgoynes of Lyonshall – sadly not a snap of the old T45-cabbed Leyland that I saw the other day but one of their much newer but infinitely less interesting Renaults

Which bit of road is that Steve ? Good pics,Burgoynes have several Renault Premiums.I think you will see a lot more of them around,as they have the Volvo driveline but are much cheaper to buy.
Cheers Dave.

One from nearer to my home R & B Transport from Llanwrthwl near Rhayader.

It’s the A491 at Lydiate Ash - just off the M5 at J4

One of their much older Leylands chugged past me in Kidderminster the other day – they did also have a Seddon Atkinson shunter at one point - I think ---- not sure if they still have it?

R.Adams have bought one; 460 and it goes like hell. When we hire Adams, they usually send it to us. Apparently, they like the Volvo driveline and cheaper price like you said.

Hi KK,
I think K E Jones had one of A E Jones old FH’s and runs the other in the same colours.I asked Norman Jones ( A E ) if they were his lorries at Llanwrtyd Wells as passing by it looked like his,he said the it was Ken Jones in the same livery.
Cheers Dave.

John Jones & Son had a big line up of Hino tippers at the show.
