windrush:
Apologies to Dave the Renegade and Muckaway, you have both sent me PM’s but I am unable to open them.
Pete.
There’s a problem with the PM setup at the mo Pete; I;m having the same trouble. I asked you if the firm that ran D704 were still going as the 2x 6ws we’re selling are going up North to someone who’s bought ours before…
Mine was only a copy of the pic of Martin Morgan’s Scania Pete…
Hi Nathan, no the company packed up finally seven years ago. They made me redundant in 2002 and then the gaffer called it a day 12 month’s later when he was 65. Having trouble replying to posts tonight, it is that bloomin slow!! I did get the pics up Dave, but they have gone again without even leaving the X behind, yet all your other photos are visible. Very strange.

Dave the Renegade:
Work on a new road bridge for the A470 South to North Wales trunk road,at Newbridge On Wye,Radnorshire.
hi dave,
if ever a new main trunk road was needed to be built, it would be that one.i used to feel so sorry for the residents having to tolerate all that south/north wales heavy traffic.
regards andrew
Hi Andrew,
As you probably know it’s running from just below Builth Road to Newbridge On Wye,nearly 4 miles in total, the only bad stretch left between Builth Wells and Rhayader after that, will be from the mothballed Rhayader quarry to Rhayader.
Cheers Dave
Hi Dave , will Builth itself be bypassed and Rhayader ? Have spent quite some time in the area and quite surprised how quiet this road has become regards heavy stuff , except for timber from Newbridge , nothing in the way of steel and chemicals nowadays regards kk.

Hi KK,
Builth has been mentioned for a bypass due to the Royal Welsh Show traffic, and Rhayader bue to the congestion in East Street and around the clock, but nothing has happened, possibly won’t now with the state of things.
Cheers Dave.
