We’ve got the 972 and 982 or whatever the 980 equivalent is. Not sure the difference between the 972 and 966. There wasn’t much difference between the 966F and 970F, just the bucket sizes I think.
Sone of the shovels at Strinds/Dolyhir quarry.

Got an album of older lorries coming soon.Putting pics of a few that have packed up in the last year.
Nigel Williams in his Volvo, packed it in,now running a Burger Van.
Tarmac sold there four lorries based at Dolyhir off earlier this year, including this nice FH,which was
driven by Malcom Cross.
Roger Griffiths suffered health problems this year, and had to pack it in.
Keith Bufton drove this mixer for Tarmac, until they sold it off with the tippers.
Les Jarrett another owner driver, had enough, sold his nice Scania and now runs a mini bus.
Wayne Jenkins another owner driver, sold his lorry recently and got a job in the quarry.
These now belong to Breedon Aggregates, pictured here at the Leinthall quarry in Herefordshire.

Hi Dave shame to see these owner drivers selling up. i remember this 6 wheeler in Minffordd the owner changed it for a scania artic about 2 years ago. i think it was tarmacs own lorry based in Kington. He has sold the artic now and is driving for someone else now.

Sounds about right Merfyn,it probably is a couple of years since Tarmac sold theirs.A certain boss dealt with buying and selling the lorries.
Cheers Dave.
