Dave that would get pulled for over loading you would be better with a wagon and drag 44 tons to be on the safe side as if they paid the fine out of the skip Dennis would go on one ANON.

Hi Dave, sorry youve been under the weather, and so glad your feeling a bit better, hell of a nasty old thing that pneumonia, I had it 4 years ago, knocks you about and takes a long long time to get over fully, so keep warm, drink plenty, and spend more time on here, oh and if you need some more oil give me a shout, can always do a good deal for a mate.
regards Andrew.

hiya,
Nice to see you back with us Dave, tell you what mate that pneumonia thingy isn’t a lot of fun is it ■■ got a dose of it myself about five years ago when the chemotherapy i was on cleared the old immune system out, thank goodness for the blood transfusion service i needed quite a lot of someones blood to get me over it seemingly it was touch and go for a day or so after admission to hospital, they did get me strong enough to undergo the cancer operation, just wish i’d been young enough to be a donor to put a drop back in the system but i suppose mine would have only been suitable for alcoholics, just keep warm friend send Tracy out for the coal, all the best mate.
thanks harry long retired.Hi Harry,
The pneumonia is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone,it’s absolutely knackered me,am getting a bit more energy each day,but after a fortnight in a hospital bed on oxygen,it’s going to take a while to regain my strength. As for fetching coal,no need for that,we have oil fired heating,so Tracy can stay in the warm.I won’t be venturing far until the weather gets warmer, just got my PC fixed,so all I need now are the 8LXB pics to silence Dennis.
Cheers Dave.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for that.Got some oil delivered last week,so should be ok for a couple of months.Did hear that a lot of the oil companies were out of supplies due to the high demand for oil,due to the cold weather.
Cheers Dave.

I think you might need a “Big Hook” for them Dave!!!
Hi Dave, glad youve got your fuel , now quoting 2nd week in Jan. for deliveries ( although still some spare space, our two Presteigne drivers pulled it out of the bag and have actually cought up on most deliveries, which is a cracking effort considering all the bad weather weve had to suffer whilst you were cuddleing the nurses in a comfy bed ( only joking mate) hope you got a good price and didnt have to pay some of the crazy prices that some companies are quoting (one rival company is now charging 79.95 ppl for Kero ■■?)
Keep warm Dave and wishing you and Tracy a smashing Christmas and better health for the New Year.
Regards Andrew.

Hi Andrew,
Had heard that some companies were charging around 80p a litre for oil.Had mine for about 45p a litre with discount for prompt payment, but that was over a week ago.I know gas heaters and bottles are getting harder to purchase,as a lot of places are sold out.As they say someone always profits out of others misfortune.I pity anyone who has no heat, but the trouble is a lot of people don’t prepare for power cuts or the heating going wrong, they have no backup.
Cheers Dave.
hi dave , don’t worry about keeping warm , if & when you post THE picture the heat coming out of your pc will be more than enough to see you through, cheers dave

Hi Dave, firstly a Happy Xmas to you and your family.Glad you are recuperating at home and on the mend.Just to make you chuckle,we spent a small fortune on heating oil last winter. The Lady wife suggested I check out our insulation in the loft of our bungalow, non existant. No wonder there was never any frost on the roof. Focus in Ross-on -Wye are advertising, buy one roll of insulation get Three free.I was dispatch on saturday to collect forty rolls, two trips in my Discovery later ,job done.Laid Thirty eight rolls, yes thirty eight, picked up a heavy suitcase overbalanced and put my foot through our bedroom ceiling.
Can now see how well I laid the insulation lying in bed.
Hi , yes many houses have bad insulation, and without any need as there are goverment grants to give proper protecton, but just check ( as I am sure you have) that you havnt covered the breather holes or you will find the loft full of codensation, only mentioned this as mine is after fitting a log burner last year
first thing I checked was the breather plates, need air circulation, solved mine with an extra jacket over the water tank, anyway better get back to the trucking theme, Dave you might be pleased to know that ive found some more old pics, plus some of my continental trucking, will have to scan and get them on…
regards Andrew.

Hi Rich & Andrew,
Had this place done again a couple of years ago,got about a foot of insulation in the loft now,a bit different to what was originally put there in 1975 when it was built about an inch.Got a condensing boiler which is very good, but also got an oil fired rayburn which is just running on one burner as a back up if there is a power cut, only had it serviced and lit yesterday.
Happy Christmas to the both of you and your families.
Cheers Dave.
